Lava Lava Beach Club to Open at Kauai Shores

First established in Waikoloa on the Big Island, Lava Lava Beach Club is planning to open a 250 seat full-service restaurant at Kaua‘i Shores (formerly Kaua‘i Sands) in November. The menu will model what is offered in Waikoloa, described as a fusion of American and Hawaiian regional cuisine featuring locally sourced products. The 4,000 square foot ocean-view space will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lava Lava Beach Club chose Kauai Shores because of its prime beachfront location. According to an article in Pacific Business News, Nick Rochi, operations director for Lava Lava Beach Club, says that the restaurant’s concept is very site-specific …  a beachfront location where there’s a lot of open space — and that location (at the Kauai Shores) totally fits the bill. The other half of it is that there’s nothing else like it on Kauai, so we’re very excited to provide something that doesn’t really exist there.”
