Kauai Quilt Show 2020

Quilters, including Maile Bloxsom, Julie Whitney, Cynthia Halasey, Lea Ingram, Vicky Masuoka, Toni Wass,  Jeni Conley and Joanne Watson, show off some of the quilts that will be featured at the Kauai Quilt Show 2020. Pdhoto by Dennis Fujimoto.

Over 70 locally made quilts will be on display during the Kauai 2020 Quilt Show, opening Valentines Day through February 26th at the Kauai Society of Artists Gallery, Kukui Grove Center in Lihue.  Some quilts are for sale. A few are made by “snowbirds” — visitors who spend winters on Kauai. A meet-the-quilters reception is planned from 5 to 8 p.m. on the 14th. Daily display hours are 10 am to 6 p.m. Included in the display are donation quilts where purchase proceeds go to a Kauai non-profit organization of the buyer’s choice. A new addition to the show is the Mini Quilt Challenge, where quilterscan make their own quilts — minimum size of 6 inches by 6 inches, and maximum size of 18 inches by 18 inches. These will be hung in a special section of the show.

This event, one of the larger events at Kukui Grove Center is organized by Kauai Quilt Guild, Nene Quilters, Vicky’s Fabrics of Kapaa, Kapaia Stitchery and Discount Fabric Warehouse.
