Beach Driftwood Clean Up September 12th – Lydgate

Event Description

You and your ohana are invited to kokua with a socially-distanced volunteer beach cleanup at Lydgate Park’s swimming ponds and beaches this coming Saturday morning, September 12, organized by the Friends of Kamalani. Raking up small pieces of driftwood to make our favorite beach clean and welcoming is the goal.

Meet at the Lifeguard Tower at 8:30 AM, and please bring your own:

  • face mask
  • water & snacks
  • rake
  • work gloves
  • sun protection
  • shoes recommended.

PUBLIC HEALTH PRECAUTIONS: Beach cleanup team volunteers are required to practice social distancing and wear masks when near others (even though it’s outdoors — it’s required for group projects).  Free non-medical paper masks and work gloves will be given to volunteers while supplies last.
