Kauai Marathon and Half Marathon — Sept 3-6

Event Description

After 2 years of virtual marathon races held by the organizers of the Kauai Marathon, this year’s event is live and has drawn 2,200 registrants to to tackle the marathon routes on Kauai’s south shore.

There are numerous events leading up the the races on Friday and Saturday and the Grant Hyatt Kauai and around Poipu.

Sunday starts early, with the shotgun start going off at 6 a.m. Racers for both the full and half marathon start at the entrance to Poipu Shopping Village, following routes as far up as the Maluhia Tree Tunnel.

Traffic flow in and out of the south shore will be slow-going and limited on Sunday. Watch for road closures and signs.
