Lydgate Beach Park Volunteer Clean Up — November 23rd

Event Description

In the spirit of giving back to the community, join the Friends of Kamalani at Lydgate Beach Park to participate in beach clean up projects this coming Saturday from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Volunteers tackle clearing driftwood, washed up branches and marine debris to maintain the pristine quality of this popular swimming beach, loved by locals and visitors alike. All are welcome to participate.  Wear shoes that can get wet or sandy and bring a hat, gloves, sunscreen and bottled water.

Go to the protected rock wall swimming area and look for volunteers wearing yellow beach cleanup team tee shirts. Participants are referred to the coordinator or assigned a task.

Following the clean up, at 10:30, there will be a Celebration of Life for Stephan Schulz, a low key event for all those who knew Stephan. He touched several peopleʻs lives, made friends on Kauai and will be sorely missed.
