Event Description

Join in on Kauai’s County’s upcoming community workday at the ancient Kamokila Village on the Wailua River. Planned for 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., the goal is to create an Outdoor Cultural Working Space for both residents and visitors on Kaua‘i. All ages are welcome. Lunch will be provided.

The village, as an attraction, is closed right now for refurbishment.

Parking is limited, though offered at the Poli‘ahu Heiau near Opaekaa Falls across the road from the entry to Kamokila Village with a shuttle leaving at 8:05  8:20 a.m. to take volunteers down to the site at the river.

This event is organized by Pihana Kai ‘Ikena, a non-profit organization based in Kapa‘a, Hawai‘i dedicated to preserving and teaching traditional Hawaiian healing arts and cultural practices.
