Event Description

Starting November 25th, hundreds of lights will illuminate both the park and interior of Kauai’s Historic County Building on Rice Street. In addition to the dozens of tall coconut palm trees wrapped in colorful lights, there will also be snowfall and meteor lights projected throughout the park. Influenced by local culture, the park’s trees feature a variety of up-cycled decorations such as aluminum can flowers and water bottle butterflies. The dazzling display will continue through New Year’s eve.

New this year is Santa’s Ride, a set of decorations created from CDs acquired from a San Francisco warehouse, Scroungers Center for Reusable Art Parts, and a 9-foot iridescent tree donated by the family of the late Dave Walters, according to The Garden Island.

Kauai County is requiring masks, social distancing and will monitor crowd size.
