Flowerless Lei Contest and Workshop — May 3rd

Event Description

Enjoy seeing amazing creations of flowerless lei, attending a workshop and enjoying music, hula and crafts at the Na Lei Pua Ole, (meaning flowerless lei) Contest on Friday, May 3rd at the Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach. Flowerless lei are made of materials like leaves, vines, seeds, nuts, shells, feathers and recycled materials. Entertainment and hula is by Waipuilane Flores and friends. Kumu Maka and Na Hui O Kamakaokalani are conducting the workshops. This event is free to the public.

Judging and workshops are from 4-5 p.m.; music and hula is from 5 to 7 p.m., with awards at 7.
