Lights On Rice Parade — A Kauai Extravaganza

Event Description

Plan on seeing the Lights on Rice Christmas Parade December 6th. This extraordinary event  is always held on the first Friday in December to welcome the holidays.

All of Rice Street in Lihue is closed down from 5:30pm on for this annual extravaganza, with the parade start at 6:30.  This year’s parade has swelled to 60 units with 3,000 performers. Considered one of Kauai’s largest attractions,  plan early to place yourself along Rice Street to enjoy. Bring beach chairs, your camera and a jacket or sweater.

Also enjoy the launch of the annual Kauai Festival of Lights at the historic Kauai County building, which continues through the holiday season.

Kukui Grove Center will be offering a free shuttle service for the Lights on Rice Parade  from 5pm – 9pm. The shuttle will depart from the bus stop at First Hawaiian Bank at Kukui Grove Center, and drop off at First Hawaiian Bank on Rice Street (across from the County building.
