Lights On Rice Parade and Festival of Lights — December 6th

Event Description

Plan on seeing the Lights on Rice Christmas Parade December 6th. This extraordinary event  is always held on the first Friday in December to welcome the holidays. Dozens of decorated floats and individual groups are expected to show off their unique holiday lighting.

All of Rice Street in Lihue is closed down from 5:30pm on for this annual extravaganza, with the parade starting at 6:30.   Considered one of Kauai’s largest attractions,  plan early to place yourself along Rice Street to enjoy. Bring beach chairs, your camera and a jacket or sweater.

Also enjoy the launch of the annual Kauai Festival of Lights at the historic Kauai County building, which continues through the holiday season.

The parade will begin at Vidinha Stadium, Lihue, and end up at the Historic County Building on Rice Street.
