Event Description

Join us for a fun-filled afternoon at our Muʻumuʻu Pāʻina Luncheon presented by the Kaua’i Historical Society. This special occasion will take place at Smith Tropical Paradise in Wailua, Kauaʻi, with its lush gardens and Wailua River as the backdrop. Public is welcome. The Gardens open at 11 a.m. and the event starts at noon, lasting until 4 p.m. Free parking. Open seating. Tickets may be purchased at Event Brite.

Indulge in delicious food, enjoy live Hawaiian music, and have a blast with friends and family. This in-person event promises an unforgettable experience celebrating Hawaiian culture, traditions and fashion history.

The main event of the afternoon will be a first-of-its-kind Mu’umu’u Design Contest and Fashion Show presented by the Garden Island Arts Council–where contestants will showcase their creative sewing skills in 3 categories of mu’u dress design (Casual, Formal, Avant Garde).
