Event Description

Tahiti Film Festival on Kauaʻi is a free one-day mini film festival at the Kauaʻi Community College (KCC) Performing Arts Center on Sunday, May 3rd. This festival was created after Kauaʻi filmmakers Teri Tico and Lillian Ball attended the Tahiti Film Festival in Papeete and returned with the idea of bringing a selection of films to Kauaʻi. With assistance from Laura Theron with the Festival, they selected six films total, including three shorts and three feature documentaries, presented in three blocks at 1 PM, 3 PM, and 5 PM, with one short and one feature in each block. KCC student clubs will also sell soft drinks, chips, cookies, and popcorn during the event. Also involved is KCC History Professor Mark Ombrello, Division of Language, Arts and Humanities
