A Trashion show will be presented on November 14th in downtown Lihue featuring fashion designs made from 80% recycled materials or rubbish. Itʻs presented by Kauai‘s Garden Island Arts Council and is part of the Lihue Night Market on Kress St. starting at 6 p.m.
Make a garment from 80% trash or upcycled materials (no green waste and nothing dangerous), and have you or your model walk your trashion in front of a crowd. Public is welcome.
Designers, artists, makers, crafters, upcyclers, and creatives are all invited to submit entries by October 30th, on behalf of an individual or team in categories for kids, teens, and adults. For rules and registration, go to gardenislandarts.org/trashion. Cash prizes will be awarded
