It is a gentle steady walk on a wide path with sweeping view of lush valleys and Mount Waiʻaleʻale and Makaleha Mountain Ranges. This excursion offers great rewards without a lot of effort, including glorious views and ever-present bird songs. Hike to bridge and picnic tables for lunch. Call the leader, Vivian Hager, 808-652-3234 for the start time and location.

Sunday, February 23:
Nounou Mountain (AKA Sleeping Giant) — Ascent from the East: This is considered an intermediate hike of 3.2 miles with a 1,000 feet elevation change. Nounou Mountain dominates the Royal Coconut Coast and offers spectacular panoramic ocean, and interior mountain views. We will explore the east side and summit.
