Kauai Shores Hotel announced in March that it is now accepting bitcoin payments for online reservations.

This hotel, on the Royal Coconut Coast, is the first on the Garden Isle to accept the cryptocurrency for reservations, according to a release from parent company Hawaiian Hotels and Resorts, a member of the Hogan Hospitality Group.

“We are continually looking for opportunities to better serve visitors to Kauai,” Tom Bell, president of Hawaiian Hotels and Resorts, said in a statement. “Providing greater payment flexibility is an important innovation that will help our guests relax and enjoy their time on the Garden Isle on their own terms. We look forward to accepting bitcoin payments from all our guests who prefer to use cryptocurrency.”

Additionally, the Kauai Shores Hotel is offering a limited-time special of $149 per night for guests who pay with bitcoin. See www.kauaishoreshotel.com/bitcoin-reservation.
