There’s a new luau on Kauai’s Royal Coconut Coast at the Courtyard Kauai at Coconut Beach. Featuring both Hawaiian and Polynesian entertainment, Luau Makaiwa is performed by award winning Kumu Hula and recording artist Leilani Rivera Low every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday beginning at 5:30pm. The luau location is ocean front and considered royal surfing grounds during the time that Kauai was under its own monarchy. This luau starts off with an interactive experience with cultural specialists, includes a cocktail reception, torch lighting ceremony, and a culinary feast of Hawaiian and local foods, followed by performances by Halau Hula O Leilani. The show includes Hawaiian, Tahitian, Maori, Tongan and Samoan performances. For reservations and more information contact 808.821.9698.
