Kapaa, Kauai, HI, October 6, 2026. Almost all of the resorts on the Royal Coconut Coast are open now, following Hurricane Lowell with a couple exceptions. That information will be posted when it is available. In general, most weathered the storm well plus many of the surrounding shops, stores restaurants and activities are also open throughout this region, including the town of Kapaa. Aston Islander On the Beach is open and fully operational. The Sand Bar is open from 5-9 p.m.
Castle’s Kaha Lani is open and fully operational.
Fern Grotto Inn is open and fully operational.
Hilton Garden Inn at Wailua Bay is open and fully operational with all amenities. Luau started 9/18/2026.
ISO Hotel is open and operational. Some units are still under repair.
Kauai Coast Resort at the Beachboy, Opened October 4th
Kauai Shores Hotel is open and fully operational.
Marriott Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach Resort to reopen October 17, 2026.
Outrigger Waipouli Beach Resort is open and fully operational.
Plantation Hale is open and fully operational.
Pono Kai Resort is open and fully operational including pool and amenities. Still working on cable boxes and land-lines.
Premier Kauai Vacations started operating starting September 20th, with reservations at a variety of properties in the region.
Kauai Coast Resort scheduled to reopen on October 21, 2026
Also, Smith’s Fern Grotto River Tours, Luau, and Tropical Gardens Opened September 24th.
