Operating Status Royal Coconut Coast Businesses
Between Wailua and Kapa‘a, on the Royal Coconut Coast, AKA Kauaiʻs East Side, a lot of the businesses have resumed operation quickly following Hurricane Lowell. In fact, many of the stores and eateries in Old Kapa‘a Town were able start up their operation shortly after the storm. Below are those who have provided their operational status. We will continue to add to this information as more reports come in. Most of the resorts on the Royal Coconut Coast are open and operating .
Activities
A Heavenly Massage Kauai: Open and operating during normal hours.
Dolphin Charters: Resumed operations starting 9/21, for catamaran tours.
Dolphin Touch Health and Healing Center: Open and operating normal hours for therapeutic massage and body work. Also organizing retreats.
Hele On Kauai Bike Rentals: Open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. M-F. Use the back entrance on Inia Street. Open 7 days starting November 1st (tentative). Renting 3 speed bikes and kidsʻ trailers.
Holo Holo Charters: is evaluating their operating plans depending upon Port Allen Harbor repairs.
Scottyʻs Surf Shop in Wailua, is open and providing kayak and surfboard rentals along with tours. Currently itʻs holding off operating on the Wailua River, though providing options in Hanalei on the North Shore.
Kauai Yoga on the Beach LLC is operating with no restrictions, providing private sessions and daily group classes at Kaua‘i Shores and Kaua‘i Beach Resort. The Kauai Yoga and Peace Festival is still on for October 3rd at the Kauai Shores Hotel.
Smithʻs River Boat Cruises, Luau and Tropical Gardens is operating as of September 24th.
Restaurants & Specialty Foods
Haole Girl Island Sweets is operating in Kapa‘a, Tue. through Sat. in Kapa‘a from 7 to 9 a.m. and at the Coconut Plantation Farmers Markets on Tuesday and Thursday.
Hilton Garden Inn at Wailua Bay: Open and fully operational. Mamahunes Restaurant Tiki Bar; and the Garden Grille & Bar: Operating for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Hukilau Lanai has been open since September 11th and operating daily (at Kaua‘i Coast Resort at the Beachboy).
Lanaʻs Café in Kapa‘a Town is open and operating.
The Napali Brewing Company in Kapa‘a is open daily with temporary hours of operation from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Mon -Thur and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fri. – Sun. Menu is scaled back starting Sept 21st.
Shops
KIKO store is open, in the heart of Kapa‘a Town and online.
Lydgate Chocolate Tasting Room in Kapa‘a Town is open Mon-Fri, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Complimentary Hawaiian Chocolate tastings. No reservation required. Farm tours are open and fully booked for the rest of this month. Also operating online.
JCʻs Flowers and Mini Mart, just north of Kealia Beach is open Mon. – Fri. 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sat. 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Closed on Sundays. Delivery service is available.
Kilauea Fine Jewelry in Kapa‘a is open and operating regular hours and online.
Hawaiian Artisans at the Coconut Plantation Marketplace is open daily with modified hours and online.
Vickyʻs Fabrics is open in Kapa‘a Town is and fully operational; also online.
Wailua Granola Company is operating in Kapa‘a, Mon. – Fri. from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and online.
Business Services:
Blue Knight Services Hawaii, Inc. is open including its TSA Enrollment Center, located at Coconut Plantation Marketplace.
