Climate Action Plan Workshops Coming Up

Kauai County is holding a series of in-person workshops in June, to discuss climate adaptation strategies with the community for our Climate Adaptation and Action Plan. This includes conversations focused on emergency preparedness, increasing community capacity, nature-based solutions, and strategies to adapt to sea level rise, such as retreating development from the shoreline

Residents are to bring your ʻohana- the in-person workshops are family friendly and a light dinner will be provided! We also would greatly appreciate it if you could help spread the word about our workshops and share the attached flyer with your contacts.”

A series of workshops will be held as follows:

  • Tuesday, June 6, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Waimea Neighborhood Center;
