Wailua Golf Course has been rated in the top ten U.S. best golf courses for the money by Links Magazine. Listed among courses in California, Washington, New York, Texas, Florida, Alabama and New Mexico, the rating was given for those courses, “Defined as a well-designed layout in good shape that calls for all the shots.” Brian McCallen, writer for Links Magazine, characterizes the top ten saying, “Everyone loves a bargain. Not cheap, mind you. Somewhere over the rainbow a fun, challenging, well-maintained course at an affordable price awaits you.” McCallen describes Wailua Golf Course as a scenic, walker-friendly layout routed across rolling terrain near the sea with coconut palms and ironwood trees lining the fairways.
