Wailua Golf Course Among Top 30 in America

Golf Magazine recently named Kauai’s Wailua Golf Course as one of the 30 best municipal golf courses in the U.S. and the only golf course in Hawaii to make this list. The ranking puts Wailua in the top 1% of the nation’s 2,900 municipal golf courses. Designed by Toyo Shirai, the course started with nine holes in the 1930s and expanded to 18 in 1961. Three USGA Amateur Public Links Championships have been held here over the years. In addition to fronting magnificent shoreline scenery, this course is known for it’s reasonable rates.
